My academic path started at Osaka University, Japan in 2020, where I studied for my PhD. My research there was centered on brain non-invasive stimulation, specifically transcranial static magnetic stimulation. I was fascinated by how this technique, in combination with resting-state fMRI, could alter brain connectivity.
This deep dive into the brain’s workings sparked a broader interest in applied neuroscience, particularly in understanding emotions and fear. That’s what led me to the Koizumi Lab by the end of 2023. Their pioneering research in these areas perfectly aligned with my growing desire to expand my study into more practical and impactful domains of neuroscience.
Currently, I am dedicated to studying the influence of different environments on the human brain. I explore how architectural spaces and natural settings, with their distinct characteristics, impact cognitive and emotional functions.
